    How to Configure a Value Range Ruleset in DvSum

    Step 1: Navigate to the Data Dictionary
    1. Log in to DvSum.
    2. Proceed to the Data Dictionary tab.
    3. Select the relevant Data Source and Table Name.

    Step 2: Select Data Quality Rules
    1. Click on the Data Quality tab.
    2. Choose Available Rules.

    Step 3: Add a New Rule

    1. Click the ⊕ Add Rule button.
    2. Select the Foundational DQ category.
    3. Choose Value Range from the list.

    Step 4: Configure Basic Input

    In the Rule Wizard's Basic Input section, select Ref Dictionary from the dropdown in Comparison Type.

    Step 5: Select Reference Dictionary and Map Fields

    1. Choose the appropriate Reference Dictionary.
    2. Select and map relevant source fields.
    3. Optional: Cancel fields you do not wish to map.

    • Also, we can cancel the fields and map the fields only we want to.

     

    Step 6: Save and Execute the Rule

    1. Save the rule configuration.
    2. Click Run to execute and test the rule.
    3. Validate that data adheres to the defined value ranges.

    Ruleset Rule Configuration

    Step 1: Add a New Rule

    1. Click the ⊕ Add Rule button.
    2. Select the Foundational DQ category.
    3. Choose Ruleset from the list.

    Step 2: Configure Basic Input

    1. In the Rule Wizard's Basic Input section, select Ref Dictionary from the dropdown in Value Range Check.

    Note: Reference dictionaries with hierarchical levels will not be displayed here.

    Step 3: Save and Execute the Rule

    1. Save the rule configuration.
    2. Click Run to execute and test the rule.
    3. Ensure data adheres to the defined reference dictionary constraints.

     

    Step 2: In the Rule Wizard's Basic Input section, Select "Ref Dictionary" from dropdown in Value range check.



     

    NOTE: Reference dictionaries with any defined hierarchical levels will not be shown here.

     

    Step 3: After saving the rule, you'll see its definition. Click "Run" to execute and test the rule.
